Let’s get upside down! Holding a free-standing handstand is a challenge, so in class we will build up our strength and body awareness through exercises and drills that help us progress toward standing on our hands! In Levels 2 and 3, students will learn a variety of  handstand shapes, crocodiles, and other inversions.

Level pre-requisites for Handbalancing

Level 1: open, no pre-reqs

Level 2: pre-reqs: Ability to kick up to a handstand against a wall and hold for at least 30 seconds

Level 3: Ability to tuck jump and straddle jump to handstand and cartwheel out without a spot. Students should be comfortable attempting to balance in the middle of the room without a spotter, though they do not need to be able to hold balance consistently.
