Anna discovered her love for circus in Tucson, AZ. She began performing with a hoop dance troupe, which evolved into Cirque Roots Studio and Production Company, from 2011 until her move to Boston in 2015. During that time, she also learned that she loves introducing people to the world of circus. She taught kids circus classes, including object manipulation and movement games, at a local elementary school, and has since taught aerial at NECCA's kids summer camps and at TSNY-Boston. She has also taught workshops for the Southern Vermont Dance Festival and for Women's Empowerment Breakthrough in Arizona. She also recently began training in Circus Arts Therapy at the Circus Arts Institute in Atlanta, and intends to continue exploring the use of circus as a therapeutic modality as she completes her master's degree in expressive arts therapy at Lesley University. She is very excited to be a part of Commonwealth Circus Center!
