Workshops with Emily Scherb, the Circus Doc!

Join the Circus Doc herself, Dr. Emily Scherb, for a weekend of anatomy for circus arts! Dr. Scherb is the author of the book Applied Anatomy of Aerial Arts and works with professional and pre-professional circus artists through her positions as Resident Physical Therapist at the School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts and as the Company Physical Therapist for Acrobatic Conundrum, a contemporary circus company.

Dr. Scherb will be presenting two anatomy workshops while visiting Boston in April. Learn more on our Workshops Page!

2019 Youth and Teen Summer Programs are Now Open for Registration!

The C3 Youth and Teen Summer Programs offers kids and teens (ages 5-18) an opportunity to explore circus arts to their hearts content! Students will study the true breadth of the circus, including aerials, ground acrobatics, juggling, clowning, performance, and more. We maintain a low student to teacher ratio so that all students receive safe, high-quality instruction. Students will have the opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned for friends and families with a group performance at the end of each week.

Announcing the Upcoming Aerial Theater Workshop with StoryUp!

StoryUp!'s workshop is designed for students who are interested in aerial storytelling for younger audiences. The workshop is also designed to teach strategies for integrating educational standards and literacy skills into circus performance and creation.

Workshop participants will explore the ground, air, and the space between to tell engaging stories that support literacy and learning. Participants can expect to collaborate with others through ground and aerial movement during the workshop.

About StoryUp!:

StoryUp! is an aerial children's theater troupe based in Durham, North Carolina run by Amy Godfrey and Katie Rebich. Amy is an aerialist, illustrator, and librarian extraordinaire.  Combining her years of experience as a Children's Librarian and storyteller with her experience as an aerialist, Amy creates a unique and engaging relationship with her audience. Katie is a dynamic creator and teacher of all things circus and theater.

Announcing the Upcoming Star Drop Workshop with Janelle Peters!

Explore Star Drop like never before! This workshop focuses on all things stellar in aerial silks and rope. Students will learn techniques and tricks to bring their star, double-star, and star-variations to the next level.

Janelle is a professional contortionist and aerialist from the San Francisco bay area. Janelle coaches her aerial and flexibility students with a style informed by her background in dance and education theory. She empowers her students to identify and pursue their own goals, while emphasizing the importance of safety and technique.
